Red, White and Blueberry Breakfast Board

Red, White and Blueberry Breakfast Board

I've created a breakfast board for four, but clear off the kitchen counter and make it for 40! Festive and fabulously France meets Uncle Sam with this red white and blue beauty. Add a pinafore and a spritzer and you got yourself a party. -Libbie Summers

Red, White and Blueberry Breakfast Board
Serves 4

What you need:
For the Red:

8 strawberries sliced
1 pint raspberries
For the White:
4 cups plain Greek yogurt
For the Blue:
2 pints blueberries
1 cup homemade granola
1/4 almonds
Honey
Edible flowers for garnish (optional...but not optional)

What to do:
1. Separate Your Food By Colors: Decoratively place your strawberries and raspberries in a bowl. Spoon yogurt into a container or bowl (I used an old Dutch cookie container). Place blueberries in a bowl (I used a blue stoneware bowl). Place your granola in another container (in the red white and blue theme natch...I used an old altoid box that had been thoroughly cleaned and decorated with a French sailor graphic. Place your honey in a low container (never put a bear on a table...ever).

2. Decorate Your Board: Now have fun and place everything in a red white and blue pattern on a large cutting board or platter. I did mine like a French flag-because I think I'm French. Decorate with flowers and place on a surface with cute napkins, bowls and spoons for folks to serve themselves!

Make it a PARTY.
Add a festive cocktail like this Southern France Sprinkle Spritz.

Southern France Sprinkle Spritz
Makes 2

What you need:
1/2 ripe Georgia peach, sliced
Sugar sprinkles
Ice
Lillet (pronounced "Li-Lay") Rouge
Seltzer Water
Basil leaves for garnish

What to do:
1. Line Rim of Glass: Take one slice of peach and rub around the rim of two glasses. Set peach slice aside. Dip rims into sugar sprinkles.

2. Make Cocktail: Pack glasses with ice. Pour and inch of Lillet Rouge into each glass. Divide peach sliced between glasses. Top with selter.

To Serve: Garnish each cocktail with basil leaves and serve.

Dress the part.
I'm wearing the Pinafore Apron in indigo chambray. Flattering, chic and impeccably made.

Set the right table.
The Yachtie Napkin Set is just the right casual meets chic napkin to have beside your breakfast board.
