The most beautiful pine trees grow in Georgia. On my walks with a certain bird dog and wonderful husband, I’m known to spend more time picking pinecones off the forrest floor than I am watching for pheasants. Once you have amassed a lot of these types of things, you have to figure out something to do with them…I did! 

Small scraps of gingham taken from the yardage of well worn shirts and other family heirlooms went into making this very special garland. It's lovely wrapped around the handle of a spring basket, down a railing or around a tree filled with sparkly lights and presents below.

If cookies could be in colors and last for years I’d make ornaments out of them. Until then, these will do just beautifully!! 

Because we believe everyone should know how to bake their own loaf of bread, set a proper table, write a seductive love note and make a pom pom.
