CULINARY SALON COLLECTION
We believe.
We believe that when you feel beautiful and lovely while working/creating that beauty will naturally be found in your final creation –whether making a raspberry jam or rocking a baby. We believe there is love in the food we prepare for our families. We believe artistry, utilitarianism and charm should be found in the clothing we wear when we prepare food or create anything to share with the world.
This, our first Culinary Salon Collection, is thoughtfully designed to address these sentiments using only the highest quality and dreamy materials, impeccable long-lasting craftsmanship and love. Like great recipes, this collection went through many "taste tests" and tweaks. Each design decision, from pocket depth to fabric "flowyness" and washability was made to create special pieces meant to flatter a woman's figure, make her feel beautiful and make her life easier –from kitchen to street.
Why the Culinary Salon name? The French culinary salons of the early 18th century were a key institution in which women played a central role. Salons provided a place for women and men to congregate for intellectual discourse.
In a male-dominated society, women served as the hostesses, decided the menu, agenda of topics to be discussed and regulated the conversation. The emergence of salons allowed for leadership, reduced marginalization and involvement for women in intellectual areas in Paris.
Our Culinary Salon Collection was designed and handmade by women.
We believe in women.
